چکیده

Wheat is one of the most economically important cereals for Department Boyacá; however, cultivated area sees low yields, phytosanitary problems, and a lack genetic materials with desirable agronomic characteristics. The present study aimed to morphoagronomically characterize 49 accessions from FENALCE germplasm bank using morphological yield descriptors multivariate cluster analyses. variables auricle color, edge shape, precocity, growth habit, grain size serosity showed little variability, while number tillers per plant, spikelets spike glume color high variability. principal component analysis, based on correlation matrix, that first four components (PC) explained 71% total variation observed in characterized accessions. analysis formed three groups according evaluated characteristics, group containing best None had rust damage. Around 15 wheat good performance under conditions this study, which should be used future improvement programs at identifying elite Boyacá.

The wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) leaf proteome.

The wheat leaf proteome was mapped and partially characterized to function as a comparative template for future wheat research. In total, 404 proteins were visualized, and 277 of these were selected for analysis based on reproducibility and relative quantity. Using a combination of protein and expressed sequence tag database searching, 142 proteins were putatively identified with an identificat...

Vernalisation Response of Some Winter Wheat Cultivars (Triticum aestivum L.)

For 17 cultivars of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) different vernalisation and photoperiod responses were detected. The effect of photoperiod sensitivity was not significantly changed by vernalisation; different vernalisation responses were probably due to the presence of multiple alleles at Vrn loci. The delay in heading depended on the vernalisation deficit exponentially: y = parameter (...

Development and Characterization of a New TILLING Population of Common Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

Mutagenesis is an important tool in crop improvement. However, the hexaploid genome of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) presents problems in identifying desirable genetic changes based on phenotypic screening due to gene redundancy. TILLING (Targeting Induced Local Lesions IN Genomes), a powerful reverse genetic strategy that allows the detection of induced point mutations in individuals of the mut...

Antioxidative efficiency of Triticum aestivum L. exposed to chromium stress.

Wheat (Triticum aestivum L. cv Sonalika) seedlings were grown in presence of K2Cr2O7 (10, 50 and 100 ppm) for 7 days and growth, total chlorophyll, activities of antioxidative enzymes like superoxide dismutase (SOD; EC 1.15.1.1), catalase (CAT; EC 1.11.1.6) and guaiacol peroxidase (POX; EC 1.11.1.7) and lipid peroxidation were determined in root and shoot tissues. Growth of the seedlings was si...
